Our Sunshine Team
Sunshine Child Care Centre prides itself on our high level of qualified staff retention. We are guided by the company vision and goals to promote ongoing professional development of all team members as a means to provide your child with the highest quality education and care services.
Each team member is mentored and supported to undertake professional development that not only encompasses the operational needs of the service, but also allows for the advancement of skills and knowledge pursuant to each team members career goals and interests.
Our team are our family. Together we provide a welcoming environment for all families that endeavours to meet the individual needs of each enrolled child. Our staff retention rates enable us to provide a long term, stable learning environment for your child, with many of our families continuing the enrolment of their child well into the formal schooling years.
Reflective and collaborative practices guides our approach to the planning and implementation of each program. This enables us to identify and design experiences for enrolled children that supports the interests and needs of each child; can stimulate learning that is relevant and contextually appropriate for each child; and encompasses the learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework. Educators encourage children to participate in a wide range of developmentally appropriate experiences, yet embrace children’s innate curiosities and need for exploratory play situations: providing opportunities for educators to scaffold the skills, knowledge and interests that have been demonstrated during play. Each program created has a strong focus on exposing children to language, literacy, numeracy, and culturally appropriate social conventions, whilst exploring concepts such as scientific thinking, self-reflection and emotional self-regulation, digital and technological awareness, wonders of the world around us, health and physical activity, inclusivity and tolerance, and cultural traditions.
Families are encouraged to contribute ideas and support to the creation of our program. Our educators value such input as a means to develop a partnership of learning between the home and the child care environment.
